Professional statement

Jenna Sackman is a holistic and integrative therapist who is passionate about working with individuals (adults, teens and children) and couples seeking observable change and compassionate support. She specializes in working with anxiety/stress, relationship challenges, loss/grief, life transitions, intrusive negative thoughts and depression.

Creative and nontraditional in her approach, Jenna aims to uniquely tailor therapy sessions to each client’s and couples needs by utilizing a variety of techniques that expand insight and encourage emotional, behavioral and cognitive change. With extensive experience and training in results and solution focused cognitive therapies, positive psychology, mindfulness, meditative practices and Buddhist Psychology, she aims to look at each client and couple holistically and often incorporates Western and Eastern healing modalities. Generally, Jenna works to help her clients broaden their awareness, challenge problematic patterns, narratives and behaviors, learn healthy coping skills, communicate intentionally, live mindfully and seek their authentic joy.

Jenna understands that therapy is a huge investment, and she, too, is fully invested and deeply committed to being an active participant in helping her clients to realize meaningful and observable change and growth. Therefore, she is focused on providing her clients and couples with practical skills and tools to successfully and independently navigate through life’s challenges.

While therapy is hard work, Jenna is passionate about making it a joyful and meaningful experience and brings a humorous, playful, and collaborative energy to her work. Above all, she believes the strongest therapeutic relationships are built on genuine connection, care, trust, respect, transparency, and empathy, and she always counsels from a nonjudgmental place of understanding and compassion. Her priority is to meet and honor every individual and couple wherever they currently are on their journey and to walk alongside them as they forge their own unique path.

Currently, Jenna offers a free consultation and is excited to connect further!

Message to clients

Most people are drawn to working with me because they are looking for a more active, authentic, supportive, collaborative, and results-oriented approach to individual and couples therapy that provides them with genuine connection and concrete tools and skills to apply to and improve their everyday lives. I firmly believe that while therapy is hard work, it can also be a fun and joyful experience and process. Therefore, I bring a playful, collaborative, humorous energy into our work together. My authenticity is what makes me such an effective therapist, and I always work with my clients from a deeply genuine, transparent, and vulnerable place of shared human connection. My goal is to help humanize my clients' experiences while also providing my clients with an arsenal of practical tools and techniques to integrate as their own, so that they can successfully navigate through life.

Holistic, integrative and creative in my approach, I believe that there is no "one size fits all" in therapy. Therefore, I aim to truly get to know and understand my clients in meaningful ways in order to create uniquely tailored and nontraditional therapeutic spaces that expand awareness and encourage emotional, behavioral and cognitive change. From my own experiences in therapy, I truly understand how scary and vulnerable the therapeutic process can be and how important it is to find the right fit, which is why I'm happy to provide a free 15 minute phone consultation. I look forward to connecting!
