Message to clients

All of us want to feel safe and lovable; we especially need a space held without judgement when we are in emotional pain and feeling vulnerable. I want my clients to experience being held in such a way that they feel heard and understood. I practice from a space of knowing that there is strength at the places where we feel most broken and that radical self forgiveness is the first step into recognition that change begins at acceptance of our humanness. I am only a guide for an exploration that takes courage and curiosity on the path to understanding that we all function within facets of our personalities which have different emotional ages imbedded within them. Being stuck usually is a place where a younger, deeply defended, part of ourselves has gone to feel protected. As we age, that defense outlives it’s usefulness and it begins to hold our emotional growth hostage. We then feel in conflict with ourselves and default to coping responses which may be dysfunctional like addictions, isolating, anger, among many. The body then begins to hold the pain.

Therapy is a process in which the relationship and trust built between two fallible people can give rise to freedom, self acceptance and peace.

I invite you to have a consultation call with me to discuss the many modalities I use including EMDR, Pro-Longed Exposure, Trauma CBT, Tapping, Breath work and to see if we are a fit.
