Professional statement

Jennifer Foster is a licensed associate counselor contracted and supervised by Pathways Counseling Services, located in Tucson. She specializes in the effects and struggles from childhood trauma of the adult survivor. These long-lasting effects include attachment issues, communication and relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and much more. She also works with children and adolescents struggling with various traumatic experiences.

Jennifer's therapeutic approach is highly collaborative, working directly with the client to create a plan to help them achieve their goals. She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, primarily using rational emotive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and family systems therapy. She also employs other theories and approaches, such as Adlerian, somatic, narrative, and Gestalt. With children, expressive therapies, such as play, sandtray, and art therapies are used, within the context of family systems therapy.

Jennifer has an office in Green Valley, in which she sees children, adolescents, and adults in person. She also offers online sessions for adults. Jennifer is in the office Monday-Thursdays.

Message to clients

My goal is to create a warm and safe space for the client, so that you can feel seen, heard, understood, and gotten. When you feel these needs being met, it allows you the opportunity to dig deep and work through challenging experiences, topics, and emotions.

You can be rest assured that anything I ask you to do, I have done myself. This is because I know first hand what it takes to process, come to terms, and move forward from childhood trauma. I believe I can help you move to the other side and help you move from a place of merely surviving to living a thriving life full of healing, growth, and wellness.
