Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, LPC-A Master of Education, MEdJennifer Guzman is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate based in Dallas, TX, who works with individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on young professionals and adult age men and women. Many of her clients struggle with feelings of anxiety, depression or are suffering from symptoms of unresolved childhood trauma. Jennifer is particularly sensitive to clients that seem stuck in their lives and are unsure how to move forward. Many times there are events that happen in the past that negatively affect the present. This is where Jennifer can help clients find a path forward towards healing.
Jennifer’s approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach that focuses on helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that they can begin to make targeted change. Although her theoretical approach is grounded in CBT, she is eclectic and can pull from various modalities of therapy to ensure that the client is getting exactly what they need.
Jennifer believes in a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental approach to therapy. Although therapy can be uncomfortable, Jennifer believes that the work is meaningful and important and strives to make her clients feel as though they are in a safe space and can share what is on their mind and heart without fear of judgement.
Jennifer’s first priority is making sure that the client feels heard. She works with the client to come up with therapeutic goals and regularly assesses those goals for progress. As a seasoned telehealth provider, she offers the convenience of remote sessions to help make therapy a core component of your self-care calendar.

I do not accept or bill insurance. As a result, there are no restrictions on the care that I can provide. I am able to spend more time and creativity crafting a personalized treatment plan just for you. If your insurance has out-of-network benefits and you meet the criteria for a mental health diagnosis, I can provide you with a superbill (invoice summary of paid sessions) to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
