Professional statement

As a therapist, Jennifer's goal is to join you on your journey, provide support, offer tools, and empower you to meet your goals. Her style is non-judgmental and exploratory. She will be direct and honest with you, challenge you when necessary, and always strive to bring out your greatest potential. The majority of her clients have sought therapy for help with managing stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, chronic mental disorders, having healthy relationships, and may have experienced trauma, abuse, and/or neglect. Jennifer takes a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT), and incorporates dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques and mindfulness-based practices depending on identified concerns.

Message to clients

Hi, you can call me Jennifer. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Texas, and a licensed independent social worker in Iowa. I have been working in the field mental health field in the Austin, TX area for over 10 years. My favorite job is working with clients in therapy one on one in private practice. I have found the use of telehealth accessible and convenient, so much so that it is my entire practice. I currently offer 50 minute video and phone sessions, in addition to monthly messaging plans. Messaging in a confidential chat room offers more flexibility in communicating, and it is more consistent being five days per week. It is a different approach, although I have found it can be just as effective as traditional therapy sessions. I have training and experience using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness based approaches with adults ages 18 and up. My goal is to help you achieve a greater sense of well-being by offering a safe space, emotional support, validation, and by providing therapeutic resources and tools that may be helpful. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to speaking with you!
