Working with Dr. Jen can help you to create more insight about yourself and allow for meaningful relationships and career shifts.

Dr. Jen Kashani is certified in psychoanalytic psychotherapy which helps to gently guide you into seeing parts of yourself that are ready to be seen. She also incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in order for patients to better understand cognitions (thoughts) that are arising and how it affects your behaviors and vice versa. Treatment is tailored to your individual goals.

Her office is located at 1849 Sawtelle Blvd. #510 Los Angeles, CA 90025 and offers virtual sessions via video and phone. Contact her today to see how she can help you.

Message to clients

You want a balanced life; fulfilling career, romantic relationship, genuine friendships, family bonds, health, and fun. Maybe some areas of your life feel full, yet there is still something missing, thus creating this imbalance. This does not happen in a vacuum; it happens in relationship with oneself and others. Healing also happens in relationships, which starts with me and you. I am an expert in healthy relationships and career; helping to create space for more in your life without feeling overwhelmed. I will help you improve your life and find the relief you need in a world that can sometimes feel unrelenting.

I work with you to build the inner and outer resources you need to live a life that feels purposeful and with vitality. When working with me, you will find your Self. Your Self that can lead to meaningful connections and free expression while feeling in control. I use my compassionate and warm style to open up the parts of you that are ready to be seen.

Therapy is not only a place to boldly look at yourself, but also a place to laugh and play. Patients have described me as insightful and supportive. Some of my interests include non-profit work, animal rights, sports, and the mind/body connection. Whether it is your first time in therapy or 20th time - it's the time to make a life, not just a living.
