Professional statement

Jennifer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about working with individuals (adults 18+) and couples seeking empathic support. She specializes in ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma. Nonconventional in her approach, Jennifer utilizes Western and Eastern healing modalities to help clients reach their goals.

Working with clients from diverse walks of life, Jennifer fosters a deep and meaningful connection with every person in which she has the pleasure to work. Her aim is to provide uniquely tailored care to address the entire individual and their unique needs.

Jennifer has extensive training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Practices, and Gottman Techniques for couples. While Jennifer is highly trained in various practices, she believes the most important aspect of her work is to connect with her clients. Research shows that the relationship between therapist and client is the most important factor when predicting change from therapy, and so she makes sure to prioritize individualized and client-centered care above all.

As an integrative therapist, Jennifer is driven by a philosophy that emphasizes the inclusion of holistic care, including the mind, body and soul. She encourages practices that facilitate this healing, such as, yoga, breathwork, somatic experiences, and journaling, to name a few.

Jennifer offers remote therapy to those located in all parts of NY, NJ, CT, and OR and is excited to work with you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out for a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss how Jennifer can best support you!

Message to clients

Since the age of 5, I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the world. I have always been a deeply sensitive and compassionate person. This was really challenging at times, especially in a world that does not tend to value sensitivity. Over time, I noticed that people and animals were drawn to me. Random conversations with strangers on the street became a norm. Once I reached college, I realized my true calling to be a lightworker and started the official pursuit.

In being a Therapist, I have been on a healing journey of my own. Three years ago, my world fell apart when my partner of 12 years left me just months before our wedding. It was through this collapsing that I had a spiritual rebirth. I started to shed everything I thought I ever knew. This included the way in which I offered therapy.

I realized that people are suffering from existential crises, unhealed trauma, and collective wounds. In including these pieces, my work has become much more profound. I have come to recognize the beauty of using my own trauma and pain to connect with clients.

According to Michael Meade, renowned author, "our greatest gifts and deepest wounds reside in the same area." I embody this philosophy, and am inspired to teach you how to rely on your pain as a catalyst for growth.
