Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWJessica Feldman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Charlotte, NC. Jessica strives to help clients reach their mental health goals, which can be to better cope with their anxiety, to establish healthy habits, or to feel less “stuck” in their lives. Many of Jessica’s clients are new to therapy and still unsure how it can help them. Jessica shows them the importance of talking about one’s feelings and overcoming anxiety, depression, PTSD, or another mental health condition.
Jessica’s approach to therapy begins with empowering clients to live authentically. She teaches clients how to stop worrying about other people’s reactions to what they say and do. She also encourages clients to do the things that bring them joy as a way of connecting with their authentic selves. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices to help clients explore the coping skills they need to feel comfortable, engaged, and content in their daily lives. She also helps clients better understand their motivations, including what keeps them feeling stuck in bad or unhealthy habits.
Jessica earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. She’s enjoyed working with clients for ten years and has worked in a diverse range of therapeutic settings. She is a strengths-based therapist, so she reflects back to clients their innate and unique strengths. She then helps clients engage these strengths as they work towards their mental health goals.
