Professional statement

The founder of Wildflower Pediatric Psychology, LLC, Dr. Jess Graber is a Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist with nearly two decades of experience. Her highest levels of specialization are in autism diagnostics, telehealth, and the assessment and treatment of complex emotional/behavioral disorders. She is passionate about supporting youth who engage in dangerous/life-limiting behaviors (e.g., aggression, self-injury, school refusal, and/or delinquency) by identifying their needs and building on strengths that lead toward happier, healthier futures.

Committed to making best practices accessible across diverse environments, Dr. Graber's work has spanned a wide range of settings, including public and alternative schools, hospital-based inpatient and outpatient programs, community-based early intervention clinics, and residential treatment centers. She is also a leader in telepsychology, particularly in regard to autism diagnostics and caregiver coaching. She has held "Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Psychology" (APIT) approval through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) since 2022. But her background in telehealth extends even further, having contributed to NIH-funded research in telehealth beginning in 2014 and since training countless others in this area.

Dr. Graber's clinical approach is rooted in authentic connection, evidence based practice, and respect, always prioritizing the dignity and empowerment of her clients. When working with "Dr. Jess" you can expect to find meaningful informed consent practices, effective treatments without invasive procedures, and evaluations that are strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming. Message to clients

I was a child who struggled. I learned, felt, and thought differently than others. Without any understanding of why this was the case, the struggles led to troubles, and by adolescence I was convinced there was something fundamentally broken about me.

But in college, I found psychology and began to understand my differences, both the challenges *and* the strengths. I could then choose supports that empowered me and built upon my strengths, rather than concealed them. I used this newfound empowerment to pursue the highest level of education and training possible such that I could support any child who needed me, no matter how they showed up.

Fast forward some 17 years, and I have built Wildflower Pediatric Psychology to provide the most individualized, responsive, and highest quality care to children and those who love them. Through diagnostics, I help clients better understand themselves and each other. Through intervention, I can "be there" with families, collaboratively designing unique systems that work. With Behavioral Pediatrics, I offer reliable and trusted support as a child/family develops over time. And through clinical consultation, I amplify my impact through empowering other professionals.

At least as informative as my extensive training and 17 years of experience, I have two children of my own. In my work, I show up authentically, not only as a professional, but also as a former child who struggled, and, most centrally, as a parent who loves.

I hope to connect with you soon!

Therapist's note

To help families maximize insurance reimbursement, at my practice (Wildflower Pediatric Psychology, LLC), we've partnered with Mentaya, a service that handles out-of-network claims for you.

This is how It Works:

- Mentaya submits and follows up on your claims for you, increasing your chances of reimbursement without you having to do extra work.

- Clients receive, on average, 62% of their money back from insurance when using Mentaya. Mentaya only gets paid when they are effective at getting your money back.

- No cost to you – I have taken the extra step to cover the Mentaya service fee for all my private-pay clients, so that my clients can benefit from Mentaya's services without any extra cost to them.

I hope that, between my relatively low pricing and Mentaya's support, we can make mental health care both effective and affordable for you!
