Psychologist, PhDDr. Jessica Leavell is neuropsychologist specializing in mind-body therapy for chronic pain, anxiety, and other stress-related physical symptoms. Her psychological approach integrates the latest evidence-based therapies proven to provide relief from painful conditions once thought to be uncurable. Dr. Leavell is certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy. She also integrates Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques proven effective for mind-body conditions.
Dr. Leavell has over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She has been a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts since 2008. She received specialized post-doctoral training in neuropsychology and worked for 15 years completing pediatric assessments. Prior to her neuropsychological training she worked for several years as a child and adult therapist. As a graduate student, Dr. Leavell also developed a strong interest in mind-body medicine and helped to create and research culturally-sensitive meditation interventions. Throughout her career she continued to study the mind-body connection through such organizations as the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine and the Center for Mind Body Medicine. After incredible personal success treating her own pain with these interventions, in 2021 Dr. Leavell shifted to full time therapeutic work so she can help others attain relief.
