Professional statement

A licensed therapist based in New York, Jessica specializes in anxiety disorders, trauma, and women’s mental health. As a somatic psychotherapist and women’s health advocate, her approach stems from a profound respect for the body’s innate ability to adapt and heal, recognizing how the nervous system shapes our sense of safety and well-being.

Jessica works with individuals aiming to understand and manage anxiety, explore feelings of disconnection, and achieve holistic well-being. Many of her clients have experienced persistent anxiety, disconnection, and trauma-related challenges.

Trained in both talk therapy and somatic practices, Jessica uses a comprehensive approach addressing the mind-body connection. She helps clients explore past experiences and present thoughts and patterns while incorporating techniques to regulate the nervous system, uncover root causes of discomfort, and foster healing. Jessica's therapeutic approach is characterized by compassion and intentionality. She prioritizes fostering a therapeutic alliance that respects and acknowledges the body’s intrinsic capacity for healing. This approach is informed by a deep understanding of the nervous system's role in emotional and physical well-being and is further enriched by her clients' unique narratives and lived experiences.

By fostering a therapeutic environment that honors the body's inherent ability to heal, Jessica champions the gradual unfolding of health, as individuals learn to navigate their experiences with greater awareness and compassion. In doing so, she honors the complexity of the human condition, advocating for a pathway to health that is as diverse and multifaceted as the individuals she seeks to help.

Jessica holds a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY The City College of New York and has extensive training in somatic practices including (Somatic Experiencing, breathwork, polyvagal theory, etc.). Her holistic perspective on health appreciates the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.

Message to clients

Beginning in childhood, anxiety was my shadow—inescapable, always there, not always seen. My journey of untangling and understanding this anxiety in talk therapy, combined with somatic practices that helped regulate my nervous system, connected me back to myself and made healing possible - making life feel far more humane.

These experiences have deeply influenced my approach as a therapist. I understand the courage it takes to confront your inner struggles, and I approach our work together with clear intentions, compassionate support, and full acceptance of who you are.

I invite you to bring attention to yourself, past experiences, and your present thoughts and movements. This is your practice, your container for the safe exploration of life.

In rest and rebellion,

Jessica

Therapist's note

I work with clients insured by many insurance companies on an out-of-network basis. Your insurance may cover sessions as out-of-network medical care— often up to 90% of the cost is reimbursed. This means that most insurance plans allowing members to go out-of-network for mental health services will reimburse you for our work, according to the payments they allow.
