Professional statement

Jill is a queer social worker and works with folks that experienced trauma; are exploring their gender identity or sexual orientation; as well as people exhibiting symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD.

Their approach is relational, steeped in empathy and support. Jill focuses on how an individual interacts with the world around them because of the identities they hold. She thinks broadly about examining strengths, needs and implications of those identities and what this means for how she supports clients needs.

Jill previously worked on crisis hotlines and provided in person crisis response to hospitals, courtrooms and police stations. The populations they worked with include survivors of trauma, the LGBTQIA+ community, formerly incarcerated folks and people with substance use issues. Their most recent work was focused on domestic violence, sexual violence and hate violence.

Currently offering remote services with the hope of in person options starting some time in 2022.
