Professional statement

I am a Puerto Rican-New York-raised Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I graduated from Hunter College School of Social Work in 2010 and quickly began providing sociotherapy services to children, adolescents, and family in foster care with dysfunctional relationships.

For the past seven years, I have devoted myself to treating patients during crises at a psychiatric inpatient unit. My passion is to help guide you through your own self-discovery and healing journey to become the person you desire to be.

I have experience working with clients on a range of issues and life experiences, including, but not limited to parent/child relationships, trauma, abuse (physical, sexual, and emotional), grief, depressive and anxiety disorders, bipolar and related disorders.

My goal for therapy is to provide a safe, trustworthy space where you feel comfortable and acceptance to allow you to share your own unique story. Everyone goes through difficult moments in life, and we sometimes need additional emotional support. Therapy is a joint effort, and I will work with you to help you gain awareness, healing, and inner peace. I utilize a wide variety of treatment modalities including, but not limited to Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered Therapy (CCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

As a team, I will use the treatment modality best suited for you and your present challenges, considering your strengths as you are very important in the path to healing.
