Joi Britt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York state. She has provided psychotherapy services with various population and settings in New York City and Westchester, including in home family therapy, work with children, adolescent and adults.
Joi is passionate about ending the stigma associated with mental health, especially in Communities of Color. She specializes in the areas of depression, anxiety, women's issues, children, adolescents, relationships, family, grief/loss and self-esteem with clients aged 10 and older.
Joi believes in meeting clients where they are and where they are ready to start. She creates a safe space for them to be authentic and honest about their feelings (even if they are not the "warm, fuzzy" ones). Joi wants her clients to know they are seen and heard and teaches them how to feel that in other areas of their lives. She utilizes CBT and a client-centered focus in her work.
Joi offers in person sessions at her office in New Rochelle, NY and remote sessions to New Yorkers all across the state. Evening and weekend hours are also available. She earned her Masters in Social Work from New York University, and her BS in Human Services from St. John's University.
