Professional statement

Juana Rincon is an LPC and holistic Psychotherapist in Boulder, Colorado. She works with adults who are struggling with finding meaning in life and are going through an identity and/or spiritual crisis, have lost touch with their inner truth and have a hard time accessing, and expressing their most authentic self. Clients seek Juana when they feel stuck and lost or unable to feel into what they need or want. Juana also works with clients that are highly sensitive and have a hard time navigating this world, establishing boundaries, regulating emotion, and finding balance.

Juana has extensive experience and training in Somatic Based and Trauma informed therapeutic modalities including EMDR, Brainspotting, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Hakomi. Juana weaves skill- building, and principles of mindfulness, yoga, meditation, as well as contemplative practices as part of her approach to therapy. Through these modalities Juana supports clients in processing traumatic reactions that are interfering with the ability to connect with joy, relaxation and love; which are the our birthright as human beings. Integration of mental, somatic, emotional, energetic and spiritual dimensions of being, are at the core of Juana’s work with clients. Juana supports clients to align their actions with their CORE and TRUE VALUES, to feel more connected with their spiritual path and life's purpose.

Juana's style is warm, interactive, intuitive and non-judgmental. Juana focus on establishing safety and trust to begin the therapeutic work, and holds the principles of organicity, unity, mind-body integration, and mindfulness (present moment awareness) throughout the sessions.

Juana received their MA from Naropa University in 2015, but has been in the field of psychology and spiritual path for over 20 years. Outside of private practice, Juana likes hiking, swimming, practicing yoga, reading, dancing, being in nature and going on retreats. Remote and in-person sessions available!

Message to clients

Hello ! So glad you are here! I think that seeking help is brave because we live in a culture that doesn't encourage us to do so. Most of us think we need to be independent, self-sufficient, and figure things out on our own. It is sadly, endemic to our culture. We are not meant to navigate this world alone. We are wired to bond, to relate, to share, to have meaning in our relationships. If you feel you are alone, I am here to tell you: You don't have to be alone.

That said I also recognize that "navigating" this world is not easy at all. We have to juggle a lot! Plus we have a very complex navigation system which is our physical body, emotional body, mind, and energetic system. Let alone other things (aspects of our personality, memories, past trauma, attachment wounding) that interphase and inform our reality moment to moment. Whoa! It is most definitely a lot.

I love the work I do because my soul is in it. In my own journey therapy as a client for many many years, I learned to embody my true self which is now at the core of the work I do with clients. I want you to be you, fully, unapologetically. I want you to connect with your truth, your voice, your power, your wisdom.

So I welcome you into a new journey. The journey of self-discovery.
