Message to clients

If you are seeking therapy for the first time or looking for a new therapist, I congratulate you for even beginning to think about committing to yourself this way. I know it takes a lot of courage and can be difficult, but therapy can be very rewarding in the end. Through personal work and developing the ability to access our authentic self, our relationships and life overall can become more harmonious as we start making decisions based on our heart and soul, rather than just our mind.

Message to clients struggling with disordered eating: In my work with clients struggling with disordered eating, we take a look at the purpose that the disordered eating might be serving and the underlying emotional pieces that might be contributing to it. By doing so, we can address and work through these emotional pieces, and learn to deal with them in ways other than through restricting food, binging, or overeating. We also work on body image issues, learning to develop an inner sense of worth and a different relationship with one's body.
