Professional statement

Judith Sachs considers herself a transplanted Minnesotan in a hot Florida climate! Her original degrees in psychiatric Social Work and Women's Studies has led her to utilize many different approaches to working with clients, depending on their personal needs and goals.

Her life experience has led to to specialize in addiction and codependency issues, as well as other emotional challenges life throws our way, She feels that she learns as much from her clients as they do from her, and believes the therapeutic relationship can be transformative. She is seeking clients who are highly motivated to engage in the process with her and seeks to provide a warm and supportive environment for personal and professional growth.

She books by appointment only. She offers both in office and Telehealth options for sessions.

Her practice is located in North Tampa.

Message to clients

In my own life I have learned that while asking for help is often hard, it is necessary. I see myself as a giving professional, here to help others clarify and seek solutions and coping mechanisms for their pain and struggle. I have had 20+ years of experience such as addiction, codependence, anxiety, depression, parenting and relationship issues.

While I am happy to see teenagers and young adults I do so only if they are personally and not parentally motivated to be in therapy. I learn much from my clients and seek to be a friendly and supportive presence to my clients.

My specialties have developed over the years to codependence, addiction and the resulting issues that face people I recovery including maintaining sobriety and relationship issues dealing with addiction. I am a believer in appropriate medical intervention and the use of antidepressants as adjunct treatments for optimal mental health.

I often bring my co-therapists, a shih tzu and a maltese yorkie to my office with me, where I strive to offer a warm and friendly atmosphere for support and healing. I also offer Telehealth sessions online.
