Professional statement

Judy has a Master's degree in Counseling and is a nationally and state certified psychoanalyst. She chooses to work exclusively with adult clients on a variety of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Her goal is to help her patients understand the unconscious motivations that effect their decision making and life choices. When clients are free to talk about anything and everything with a non judgmental therapist , they are able to grow and move beyond their expectations.

Judy is particularly passionate about helping men and women of all ages to work through past traumas and early life messages. By recognizing repeated life patterns and understanding how past traumas can be affecting their lives, , her patients are able to free themselves from the chains of the past

Her approach to therapy is psychotherapeutic . Since each client is different, her treatment approach varies by individual needs. She works with her clients to create trust by creating a comfortable and safe place to talk. Judy's clients tell her that she is a wonderful listener.

She is honored to work with all backgrounds and identities.

Judy studied psychoanalysis at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis and the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis. She has extensive experience working with individuals with a variety of mental health issues. Judy is presently on the faculty of The Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis (ACAP) and The Institute for Psychoanalyic Counseling (ICPS) where she teaches and supervises psychoanalysts in training.

Having a background in the arts, Judy is particularly sensitive to working with her creative clients.

Message to clients

I know that selecting a therapist can be confusing. I'd like you to help you by telling you a few things about myself. Firstly, I am highly trained and experienced in the field. My life and work experience has enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of how life patterns can impact your life. Many of us can get stuck in replaying the early messages that remind us of why we shouldn't try to achieve what it is that we want. I'd like to help you change that message. I pride myself on being an excellent listener and I consider myself an open and non-judgemental therapist. I am conscious of the fact that each of us has to work at a pace that suits us. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety or a relationship with a loved one I'd like to help. If you are ready to talk, I'm ready to hear you.
