Julia Willinger LMFT is a Los Angeles based counselor specializing in couples, relationships, and individuals. Many of her clients are going through life transitions and experience anxiety, are creatives, deep thinkers, people pleasers, and want to have more meaning in their lives. They are conflict avoidant and want to learn to have boundaries, how to trust themselves, and have healthy boundaries. Many of her clients have tried many forms of healing and come to her looking for something different and are ready for change.
She used to work in music and has a mindfulness and buddhist practice, which informs her work. She specializes in Internal Family Systems, Relational Therapy, and Depth Psychology. She is kind, creative, and can be direct with compassionate and nonjudgment. Her office is in Pasadena and she also meets online! She helps people find spirituality, more creativity, deeper connections, and relationships to their self and others!
Julia helps you to explore attachment, your unconscious, patterns, and your "parts", as well as mindfulness and embodiment, to understand yourself and what is contributing to the challenges in your interpersonal connections. She shows up collaboratively, genuinely, and can be direct when needed. She explores narratives that may be developed from culture, family, and shame in order to free you from suffering and connect you with more self compassion. Many times we want to know why we do what we do or what is causing an issue, and sometimes we just need some guidance and a nonjudgemental connection to help us see more clearly.
