Professional statement

Julie Chin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Irvine, CA. Julie works with individuals, couples, and families. She instills a sense of hope within her clients, helping them make healthy changes in their lives. Many of Julie’s clients feel like they’re struggling to hold all of the pieces of their lives together, and find themselves wondering what it would be like to live without feelings like anxiety, sadness, or fear from holding them back. They want to take risks in changing their lives but aren’t sure exactly where to channel that energy. Julie helps clients focus their goals and take the necessary steps towards feeling their greatest.

Julie draws from a wide range of therapy approaches when supporting her clients. Clients benefit from learning more about mental health and psychology, including strategies from positive psychology that they can implement into their daily lives. Julie also teaches clients how to recognize and modify negative thought patterns, especially those thoughts that lead to self-criticism and low self-esteem. Her goal is to help clients eliminate subconscious blocks that hold them back and to fully explore what it’s like to make major changes to their lives so they can live the life they want for themselves.

Julie earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She has a certificate in Rapid Transformational Therapy and uses her experience to help clients reach their full potential and live happy, fulfilling lives.
