June Taylor is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Midtown Manhattan. June works with individual clients, couples and specializes in working with stepfamilies.
Many of June’s clients struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self worth and are challenged by harsh inner critics. June uses an eclectic approach derived from her training in a variety of therapeutic models, such as Internal Family systems, Family Systems, Relational Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Through various techniques and the creation of a warm and trusting relationship, clients can develop a deeper understanding and awareness of themselves, their triggers and their behaviors that may be keeping them in pain.
When working with couples, June incorporates her training in Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples de-escalate conflict, identify negative patterns and cycles the couple can get stuck in, and help them create a new dialogue, emotional connection and deeper intimacy.
When working with stepfamilies, June draws on her own personal experience as a stepmother and also her extensive training through the Institute for Stepfamily Education and The Stepfamily Foundation of NY to help family members understand and meet the common challenges of stepfamily life.
June’s office is located in Midtown, just blocks from the Empire State Building, the 34th Street Herald Square subway station, and Penn Station. She looks forward to welcoming you there.
