PhDJustin Jacques, Ph.D. is a counselor educator with over 20 years mental health experience. He is a skilled general clinical counselor with special expertise in the treatment of college students, veteran populations, athletes, gifted and talented students, ADHD, trauma, autism, mood, and anxiety disorders. He provides individual and group therapy for adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Jacques completed his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver in 2005, his education specialist degree in counseling from the George Washington University in 2019, and his Ph.D. in Counseling at Oregon State University in 2022.
Dr. Jacques is able to provide specialized treatment services for college students, college athletes, graduate students, medical students, nursing students, and doctoral students. His primary therapeutic approach is based on humanistic, person centered, and cognitive-behavioral theory and research. His professional experiences include clinical work in residential treatment, employee assistance programs, peer diversion programs, college counseling centers, and working with Ph.D. students in science and medicine. His research interests focus on athletes, veterans, the therapeutic alliance, and the use of technology in counseling.
