Message to clients

Living in today’s “face paced” society with multiple commitments and little time is causing individuals to struggle with depression, and anxiety. These emotional states can leave one feeling overwhelmed and out of control. Even the strongest support system of friends and family with their best intentions may not be equipped with the skills to help you get your life back on track. Coming to therapy is an incredibly brave and important step that one takes to facilitate the process of change. I create a warm and comfortable “space” to help clients explore, examine, and work through their most important life problems. I strongly feel that connecting with a client is a critical component of the therapeutic process. I believe that one must gain introspection into oneself and one’s behavioral patterns in order to make positive and lasting life changes. Working as a team we can explore your issues and meet your counseling needs.

I believe therapy is a journey of self-exploration between the therapist and the client. It is also a corrective relationship experience that helps the client identify and clarify problem behavior patterns and take practical steps to make positive life changes. These changes will ultimately help the client live a healthier, happier, and more fulfilled life.

I draw from many theoretical orientations, but I primarily utilize psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral, and solution focused techniques. I believe that finding the right therapist is extremely important in order to maximize one’s therapeutic experience. I look forward to hearing from you!
