Professional statement

Kaitlin Walker is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Alamo, CA. Kaitlin is passionate about helping clients not only heal their minds, but also their hearts and souls. She believes that everyone can benefit from additional mindfulness and intentionality in their lives, especially those who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. Many of Kaitlin’s clients struggle with the relationships in their lives, including the one they have with themselves. This leaves them feeling emotionally exhausted, confused, and frustrated. She especially enjoys supporting women as they navigate their many roles, pressures, and stressors.

Kaitlin takes a holistic approach to therapy, offering each client the opportunity to grow their minds, bodies, and souls. She does this through somatic therapy modalities, which help clients better understand their bodies’ reactions to stress and mitigate these reactions. She also practices Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an evidence-based therapy treatment for those whose trauma holds them back from engaging in everyday life. She is a strong believer in the power of mindfulness and often incorporates mindfulness practices into her therapy sessions with clients.

Kaitlin earned her Master’s degree from St. Mary’s College of California. She has multiple certificates from the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. She welcomes clients of all backgrounds, identities, and preferences into her practice and empowers each client to recognize their own innate strengths. She enjoys blending Eastern and Western treatment styles and tailors each session to the needs of her client.

Message to clients

Hi courageous you and welcome. Firstly, I believe in you. I believe you already possess the tools and wisdom within you to live happy, healthy, and free... The stuckness and suffering arise when we become disconnected from ourselves along life’s shuffle and circumstance. So, together we will journey you back home to you.

I view my role as a teacher and guide to help you rediscover your inner knowing and develop tangible tools to live embodied, empowered, and Sovereign in your life.

We will explore and honor the ways you’ve coped thus far, assess which patterns support you now, release the habits that keep you bound, and cultivate new ways of being that embolden your truest Self.

My work (and beingness) is rooted in kindness, compassion, curiosity, presence, and humor. With over 10 years of experience working within holistic wellness and the treatment of trauma, I weave together neuro-science, earth medicine, meditation, sound healing, and ancient wisdom traditions to support clients in having breakthroughs, Mind, Body & Soul.

“There is freedom waiting for you, on the breezes of the sky, and you ask, ‘What if I fall?’ Oh but darling, what if you fly?”

-Erin Hanson
