Professional statement

Kassie is the founder and CEO of Dahlia Wellness, a trauma informed virtual therapy practice serving Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. Kassie specializes in working with individuals who have not had success with therapy in the past, individuals who are trying to manage the short term or long term impact of trauma, and individuals looking to take their personal growth to the next level. Many of Kassie's clients struggle with perfectionism, mood dysregulation, negative self-talk, difficulty managing stress, and difficulty balancing life, work, and relationships. Kassie's approach is genuine, empathic, sensitive, trauma-informed, and practical.

Throughout her career, Kassie has worked in a number of different settings primarily focusing on the treatment of trauma and supporting trauma recovery. Kassie's experience prior to starting private practice includes school-based care, therapeutic foster care, individuals experiencing incarceration, and extensive in-home therapy work to support family reunification. Kassie graduated with honors from Longwood University in Virginia in 2004 where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and graduated with honors again from Regent University in Virginia in 2007 with her Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling.

Kassie is available to see residents of the State of Virginia, Georgia, and Florida. Sessions take place using the Zoom platform, potential clients are welcome to request a free 15 minute consult prior to booking a first session. Consent paperwork must be signed prior to your first session.

Message to clients

There’s nothing as healing as a genuine, caring ear when you are going through a tough time. I take a person-centered approach to counseling, taking the time to get to know you and creating an environment where you can feel safe and comfortable to be your true self. So many of my clients feel alone, ashamed, or frustrated with feeling stuck. Counseling is an opportunity to approach the hard things you've been running from to create room for the things you want.

I offer a free, 15-minute zoom consult prior to starting therapy so we can get to know each other a bit and give you an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have prior to choosing a therapist. Whether I get to meet you or not, I wish you the very best in your journey. Be kind to yourself, you can do this!
