Professional statement

Kate Graham, LMHC, CST, and SEP, is a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience in private practice. She specializes in supporting individuals with late-diagnosed autism, neurodiverse couples, and those navigating complex and sexual trauma. Her work also focuses on attachment issues, relationship challenges, and sexual health.

Kate's private practice is based north of Boston, a queer and neurodivergent friendly practice, offering sex therapy, couples and individual therapy via telehealth. She shares a combination of somatic, developmental, cognitive and nervous system based approaches to therapy.

At the Brookline Trauma Center, Kate assisted in research studies on yoga and post traumatic stress disorder and was privileged to lead the women's trauma sensitive yoga group - a program initiated by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk and David Emerson.

In addition to becoming an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Kate also completed her certificate in The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy and Trauma and Recovery through Harvard Medical School. She has had the pleasure of lecturing on embodied therapy and mental health at a variety of universities and conferences throughout New England.

Message to clients

I enjoy building relationships with people so they may deepen their awareness and understanding of themselves and their experiences. My work connects clients with their strength, intelligence and embodied experience to expand their inner resources and feel empowered to make lasting change.

I passionately believe in a full-body approach to health and wellness. For the last decade, I’ve explored the intersection of mind and body therapies and found that the 'top down' approach of psychotherapy combined with the 'bottom up' approach of embodied therapy results in the most effective, lasting and meaningful transformation for folks.

I'm an active and deeply empathetic therapist. I am interested in working with individuals and couples to help them overcome challenges, shift patterns and heal past experiences that impact the present moment connection. I hope to offer a warm and supportive therapeutic relationship for clients to discover and fully express their authentic self in all areas of their life.
