Katie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She has worked with clients struggling with a wide variety of issues including perinatal mental health concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, parenting related issues, difficult life transitions and general life stressors.
The decision to start therapy takes courage. Katie is truly honored to be part of your journey of growth. Whether you are facing a major life change, have experienced trauma, or are just looking for a place to receive support, Katie is here to walk alongside you. Drawing largely from psychodynamic, attachment and systemic therapy approaches, Katie finds value in exploring the past to create a more productive future. Additionally, as a Marriage and Family Therapist, she uses a systemic lens when working with clients. Katie will work to learn about her clients as individuals within family, community, and cultural systems and honor what is important to them in order to work together on therapy goals.
Knowing that clients are the experts on their lives, Katie develops individual treatment plans collaboratively with clients. She strives to foster a strong, non-judgmental, therapeutic relationship, as this is essential to the therapy work. Katie’s goal as a therapist is to create a therapy space that is comfortable, supportive, and fun, where learning and growth can occur.
