Dr. Kavita Ajmere, a licensed psychologist and coach, is widely recognized as an expert on adolescent health. Her experience as the former Director of Counseling Services at Harvard Westlake and Oakwood School in Los Angeles, where she worked with students from diverse backgrounds, has honed her skills in helping teens with anxiety and depression. Her certification as a yoga instructor adds depth to her understanding of the mind-body connection.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Mark A. Reinecke, Ph.D., ABPP, ACT, Professor and Chief of the Division of Psychology at Northwestern University, Dr. Ajmere completed a year-long course on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on its application with children, adolescents, and families. Additionally, she finished a CBT program for treating anxiety disorders under the guidance of Dr. Patrick McGrath, Director of Alexian Brothers Center for Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders.

Dr. Ajmere is also trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and received her certification taught by the experts: Drs. Marsha Linehan, Alec Miller, and Jill Rathus.

Dr. Ajmere is currently undergoing training at The Integrative Sex Therapy Institute (ISTI), known for its comprehensive programs in sex therapy, couples counseling, and integrative therapy. This training equips professionals like Dr. Ajmere with the knowledge and skills needed to address sexual and relational health issues effectively. By training at ISTI, Dr. Ajmere demonstrates a commitment to staying informed and equipped with the latest tools and strategies in the field of sex and couple therapy, ensuring clients receive high-quality, evidence-based care. She frequently takes courses through the Gottman Institute and is trained as a leader in the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work.
