Kelly Ayala is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Dallas, TX. Kelly works with individuals who want to heal, whether that’s from past experiences or current situations. Many of Kelly’s clients are searching for a greater sense of authenticity in their daily lives or ways to find the motivation to make changes. Kelly provides a calm, peaceful atmosphere where all feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and processing through their relationship with themselves.

With training in IFS, EMDR & Neuropsychotherapy, Kelly brings together elements of cognitive science, brain chemistry, mindfulness, and the importance of the mind-body connection. In session, clients may practice relaxation techniques that help them get to know their inner world or talk about their childhood as ways to feel a greater sense of connection to their core. By placing awareness on what’s on the mind and what’s in the body, clients develop the mindset needed to tackle their mental health goals

Kelly earned her Master’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University. As a compassionate, involved therapist, Kelly values bringing her own authenticity into the sessions and hopes to empower her clients to be completely themselves not just in session - but also in their everyday lives.

Message to clients

Hey Gen Xers, Millenials and childfree adults. Has your challenging childhood got you burnning the candle form both ends? I can for sure relate. I've been in practice for 15 years and I'm ready to help you get back to feeling free to be yourself. Let's get to know your inner world using Internal Family Systems and EMDR therapy and shake that anxiety and self-doubt that holds you back.

Just like you had a family system growing up, each person with their own role and identity, so do you in in your inner world. We call them parts. Parts have their own roles and purpose and are working for our good. But sometimes these parts take on extreme roles (anxiety, fear, feeling overwhelmed) and disrupt our lives. So let's get to know these parts, build a relationship with them and offer them your support to live in greater harmony. This is IFS therapy.

I'm compassionate, relatable and genuinely curious about you and your story. I'm going to help you slow down and develop the skills to tune into yourself. Traditional therapy teaches you how to think, problem solve and apply a skill. Let's explore how to listen, understand and meet your own needs. How to be in relationhip with yourself and others. I believe you deserve a life designed by you and not your pain. I wish there were better words to describe this process but honestly, it's something you just have to experience for yourself.
