Professional statement

Dr. Most honors deep emotions and provides a kind and compassionate space for self-discovery. It is her joy to create safe spaces for people by integrating experiences of body-mind-spirit. Dr. Most specializes in supporting couples and relationships, Individuals who experience social exclusion and Racial Stress and humanitarians, aid workers, and teams working in international contexts.

Dr. Most is a Certified Advanced Imago therapist. She encourages couples to connect deeply and listen openly to heal problems. From the first session, couples learn Imago skills of communication, acts of kindness, and self-regulation.

For 11 years, Dr. Kerley worked in West Africa, traveling extensively while mentoring humanitarians to improve resilience and interact effectively in diverse cultural environments. Before her experience in West Africa, she nurtured emotional and spiritual growth for individuals in rural and urban contexts in Brazil. She understands French well and speaks Portuguese fluently.

Dr. Most holds safe and intentional spaces to explore, validate and process racial trauma. Her doctorate research considered systems of resilience among Black and African American individuals. She is committed to promoting racial awareness and healing.

Whether working with couples, supporting resilience, or processing racial stress, Dr. Kerley focuses on the mind-body-spirit connection and empowers clients and new therapists to connect with their intuition and listen to what their bodies tell them about their strengths, needs, desires, and passions.

Dr. Most holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision; she has a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling. She is a certified clinical supervisor for therapists in DC and Maryland. In addition, she is an accredited Diversity and Inclusion facilitator and Imago workshop presenter. Message to clients

Are you experiencing stress?

I can support you by calming your body, mind and spirit. I love to slow down and take many deep breaths during therapy. Together we can reconnect with your purpose. I can support you to reconnect with and expand your strengths. We can utilize the therapy space to practice self-regulation strategies and intentional stress and racial stress release/ management skills.

Are you experiencing hopelessness?

I believe love, connection, presence, energy, and intention have transformative powers. Let us process yesterday sorrows. Hope for tomorrow and witness transformation together.

Are you looking for a space just for you?

Transform today's challenges into strength and resilience. I am a professional listener (maybe I am creating a new profession :). For the past twelve years, I have embraced the honor and joy of being a present support. I love to create space for my clients who are going through the different seasons and life situations.

If you a new therapist, I will enjoy supporting your marvelous journey as a healer.

Are you feeling disconnected in your relationship?

I am passionate about working with you and your loved person using the Imago Theory approach. The intentional and respectful Imago way of relating has been a constant transformative force in my life and relationships. It will be my honor to practice communication skills and conflict management tactics with you.

Come, meet me. Let us connect.

Couples Counseling - Interracial Relationships - Addressing relationship challenges, cultural differences, life transitions; strengthening communication and feelings of security, desire, connection, and love

Cultural adjustment - Acclimating to a new environment; managing stress and coping with feelings of loss and separation from familiar people and places

Racial Stress - As a person of color in America, your rights of worth and safety are continuously imposed upon and violated from the minute you wake up in the morning to the minute you go to bed. I provide a space to process racial stress and to acquire/share skills to expand your mind-body-spirit ability to deal with racism in America.

Clinical Supervision - Being a mental health practitioner can be quite isolating. If you’re a psychotherapist, you might need a safe space to process challenging cases. If you are a new clinician, you might be looking for opportunities to increase your skills, or seeking to acquire your hours for licensure. You are not alone. I offer attuned and safe clinical supervision for DC and MD.

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
