Professional statement

Kevin George, II, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based out of Brevard, NC. Kevin has extensive experience in working with men who are ready to face their pain and make changes to live a more authentic and whole life. His clients often struggle with relationship concerns, feelings of not being "good enough", feeling overwhelmed, loss of sense of who they are, and a lack of meaning in their lives. Kevin works with adults of all ages and genders, both individuals and couples.

Kevin's approach with all clients is human centered. He works to deploy empathy, to help clients feel seen and heard. He provides a space of non-judgment, where all parts of his clients' stories, and present experiences are welcome. He is transparent in his approach and work, sharing reflections of what is observed through empathy and unconditional positive regard. He believes in the power of the self in holding and engaging with all of our experiences, difficult and pleasant, to allow us to embrace life more fully. This in turn allows us to release these experiences and choose new ways of living that are aligned with the life we want. Kevin provides actionable steps for his clients to create new experiences through his kind, clear, and empathic presence. He uses internal family systems, breathwork, visualizations, mindfulness, and somatic practices and EMDR.

Kevin has been practicing for 10 years is able to see clients in person at his office in Brevard and virtually to any resident of NC. If reading this resonates, Kevin would enjoy connecting with you to see how he can support you in your healing journey.

Message to clients

I know it feels scary to hold up a mirror to our lives and experiences. I honor your courage to show up to begin to heal and make changes that feel aligned and authentic for you and what you want. I work to provide a safe, empathic, non-judgmental presence which allows you to explore your internal world.

We all have a story with highs, lows, the mundane, trauma, difficult and pleasant emotions/thoughts/experiences and everything in between. Every one of us, regardless of our story, has worth, meaning, and an innate ability to heal our trauma, hurts, and difficult patterns that are no longer serving what we seek to create in our life. At times, we need help in sifting through our internal worlds to make sense of where we need to focus to create more moments of peace, joy, and freedom. In my work, I hope to come along side you in your healing journey.
