Professional statement

Kimberley L. Berlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She is an integrated addiction therapist who uses traditional Western and Eastern mental health and wellness approaches to help clients on their journey to healing. Ms. Berlin approaches her clients with compassion, connection, and deep commitment. While the 12 Step tradition serves as the guide to recovery from addiction, her approach is grounded in the neuroscience of spirituality. Her philosophy has informed her personal journey in recovery, a path of 27 years.

Kimberley is an expert in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, using Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, and Trauma-Informed approaches. She engages her clients in breath-work, yoga, journaling, meditation, chant and prayer, when and if the client so desires. Most importantly, she works with her clients to create an individual path to healing that will achieve long-lasting success. Ms. Berlin's clientele range in age from 18 years of age onward, with a broad range of backgrounds and cultures. Kimberley also works with therapists as part of her professional services.

Kimberley is now a full-time telehealth practitioner which affords ease in scheduling, foregoing travel and work-life requirements. Kimberley L. Berlin, LCSW is a nationally published author, speaker and presenter; she lives in Leesburg, Virginia.

Message to clients

If you are finding yourself in the narrows of your life, where the pain is too great, and the consequences are becoming too profound, then you are ready to make the best decision of your life - begin a new journey which will bring you health, hope, and healing. I have been working as a recovery specialist for over ten years and treat not only the over-arching symptoms, but the root causes of clients' pain. I specialize in the neuroscience of spirituality where the power of spiritual practices heals our body, brain, and our souls. I am a Level II therapist in Internal Family Systems (Richard Schwartz, PhD) and have found the combination to provide remarkable results. Above all, I am committed to your journey, your healing, and your happiness. I consider the work I do with each client to be an honor, and a blessing.
