Kimberly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health and counseling field, practicing in the states of Georgia, Maryland, and New Jersey. In her practice, Kimberly focuses on providing relatable therapeutic services to people of color and members of the LGBTQIA community. She believes that trust is the cornerstone of a good therapeutic relationship and strives to build a strong and meaningful connection with her clients.
Kimberly's primary clientele are adult LGBTQIA and minority professionals who are looking to connect with a therapist who can understand their perspective. Many of her clients struggle with depression, anxiety, life transitions, sexual/gender identity, self-esteem, relationship concerns and/or addiction. She offers both individual therapy and couples therapy.
Kimberly is skilled in working with a variety of evidenced based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral, Cognitive Processing, Mindfulness, Insight Oriented and Motivational Interviewing, however, she does not believe in a "one size fits all" approach. Therapy approaches and goals are based on you, the client, and your unique experiences. Kimberly will meet you where you are and together, the two of you will create goals and discuss the approaches that will be most effective. Throughout your time together, Kimberly will check in with you to see if you feel your goals are being met, if the approaches have been helpful or not, and shift when needed.
Kimberly is seeing clients remotely. She offers sessions Monday-Thursday during day and evening hours as well as Friday and Saturday mornings.
