Message to clients

We are in an unprecedented time of personal and collective trauma. You may find yourself overwhelmed with life, your relationships, and work. It's quite possible you armor up on the outside while feeling messy on the inside. If only others knew how dreadfully stuck and scared you feel. Parts of you want to let others “in”, yet it is hard to trust and you don't want to appear weak or be a burden. You are exhausted. Multiple stressors are getting to you. Genuine connection and support feels unreachable.

Feeling safe and knowing that we can trust and be surrounded with support are fundamental human needs. Without an internal sense of safety and trusting relationships, we feel off-centered and retract from life. We want to feel contentment, to open up, and to connect. And when stress happens, we want skills to manage it and move forward.

As a trauma-specialty counselor, I offer a safe haven for clients to find relief, build connection, and cultivate health. Clients who work with me appreciate my first-hand experience of trauma's impact and of post-traumatic healing. I help clients process the hard stuff so they can function and live their best life.
