Professional statement

Kristi Halberstein is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with offices in Aventura, Florida. She also offers online sessions to clients in New York. Kristi sees individuals and couples navigating life transitions, including anxiety, depression, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and unique stressors entrepreneurs face.

Kristi specializes in helping moms rediscover themselves while managing the demands of family, work, and everything in between. She helps mom’s redefine cultural narratives and their own expectations about what motherhood and being a woman should look like. She helps mom reclaim their power, set boundaries, and make space for the woman behind the “mom” title.

Kristi takes an approach that is practical and skills-based, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Psychodynamic therapy. She believes in a holistic approach to therapy and incorporates mindfulness and the Body Code into sessions to help balance the body and mind. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment for clients to feel heard, supported and empowered.

As a mother herself, Kristi understands firsthand the mental load of motherhood and as a therapist she knows how to help Mom’s find balance and inner peace.

Message to clients

“Mom, Mom, Moooom” Sometimes if feels like that’s all you are. If you hear it one more time you’re going to scream. Caring for everyone else’s needs but your own, collapsing into bed feeling more exhausted then the day before, feeling under appreciated, and unable to recognize the person you’ve become. But you are not just a Mom—you’re a woman who deserves to feel heard, empowered, and in control of her life.

I’m here to help you tackle the real-life stressors that come with motherhood—whether it’s managing mom guilt, finding balance between work and family, or figuring out how to ask for help (without feeling guilty). We’ll work on strategies that actually work in your life, We’ll cut through the noise, get to the root of what’s overwhelming you, and find real solutions that leave you feeling more in control and less like you’re just surviving day to day.

We’ll dive into the challenges you’re facing and figure out how to manage the overwhelm, reduce the anxiety, and make your mental health a priority. No more putting yourself last. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your reality—not some idealized version of motherhood. And along the way, you’ll rediscover the woman you were before the world started calling you “mom.”

Motherhood is a journey, but so is taking care of your mental health. You are worthy of support, rest, and time for yourself. Let's get you feeling calmer, stronger, and more in control.
