Clinical Practice and Professional Background:

Kristin Jones holds a Doctoral Degree in Health Science, Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. As a licensed mental health counselor, her clinical practice is in Miami, Florida, where she sees Florida residents virtually.

Dr. Jones is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), DBT Prolonged Exposure, and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), and also has extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Yoga.

She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder.

Hello! I’m Dr. Kristin Jones and helping people to live balanced and meaningful lives is my passion. As a psychotherapist and coach, I help people by providing mind/body guidance through therapy, coaching, mindfulness, and subscriptions. I utilize mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, yoga, and other wellness practices to help people in a holistic way. It would be my honor to help you create emotional balance, deal with your challenges, and build a meaningful life.

It is my passion to help people live healthy and meaningful lives. My unique approach helps clients to navigate life with greater effectiveness and ease, while also reducing suffering. I use a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and life coaching to help people move towards their goals and learn how to better deal with painful emotions. I view my work with clients as a collaborative endeavor to help support clients in reaching their unique goals.

In order to help more people, I have developed an online emotional wellness program called Jones Mindful Living. This program was created to bring life enhancing practices to you in a way that is affordable and accessible, overcoming the obstacles of time, cost, and distance.


Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Borderline personality disorder - Increasing insight into relational patterns and destructive behaviors; development of coping strategies for uncomfortable emotions or situations; skills for emotional identification and regulation.

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Eating disorders & disordered eating - Reducing unhealthy eating patterns, beliefs, and behaviors, such as restricting, purging, and binging; healing the emotional pain surrounding disordered eating

Body image - Development of skills for handling negative thoughts about physical appearance; building habits of more positive self-talk and self-perception.

Mind-body connection - Practicing mindfulness to draw together how the body feels physically and how the mind feels mentally; healing both physically and mentally
