Kristina Cofone is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of Hope, Healing & Happiness Counseling Services. She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and difficult life transitions. Kristina utilizes evidence-based models and her clinical training to support her clients in achieving their goals.
Kristina’s approach to treatment is guided by her Cognitive Behavioral training background. However, she works to incorporate other treatment modalities which include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Kristina strives to helps her clients better understand and accept their struggles so they can move forward in the change process. She works to help clients establish a positive self-talk that is compassionate in nature. This is often key in clients developing the confidence they need to believe change is possible and their goals are achievable.
Kristina brings with her over 10 years of clinical experience. She received her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University and her Bachelors in Social Work from Providence College. She is currently enrolled in a two year post-graduate training program at the Center for Study of Anorexia and Bulimia through the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.
