Professional statement

I am an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 7 yearsof clinical experience working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I have certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Child Centered Play Therapy with a neurorelational emphasis (ask me about this, it’s really cool). I am trained in Gottman Level II for couple’s therapy.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (when I have to), Seeking Safety, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, some EMDR for trauma, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, art therapy, sand tray therapy, puppets, and I play a mean air guitar.

I have worked in the public and private school settings as an embedded therapist collaborating with multidisciplinary educational teams, special education, and occupational therapists. I have worked in the field in community mental health providing services to low-income, high-risk children and teens. I have also worked, in a professional capacity, with the 12-step communities, recovery communities, and faith-based recovery communities. I now integrate the rich and diverse experiences into Ragamuffin Counseling Services, Inc in order to provide quality mental health services to my community.

Therapy with me is simply about helping you become the person you want to be. If you’ve read this far, I think there are questions about yourself, others, and the world that you want answers to. Give me a call, let’s chat. Maybe there IS something we can tackle together that might feel too daunting to address alone.

Message to clients

Whether you choose in-person session or on-line, our work together starts by connecting and giving you a safe, non-judgmental space to learn about yourself. As a client centered therapist, I believe you are the expert in your condition. You KNOW how you got here. And I know how to

help. Together we will find the best method to transform your struggle into victory. We have art therapy, music, sand trays at our disposal. We can talk, scream, cry, curse, and we will do it together.

After almost 7 years of clinical experience, I have many tools to support you on your pathway to healing. My training includes crisis intervention and stabilization, Seeking Safety, mindfulness self-compassion, addressing the bodily sensations that are connected to stress and trauma, and

creative interventions like art, music, sand tray and play therapy. And Lego… who doesn’t love Lego??

I look forward to connecting with you on your journey towards hope and healing.
