Professional statement

For as long as she can remember LaQuanda has had a passion to help others achieve their greatest potential. Throughout her life this passion has taken many forms but it was not until she began working with homeless children that she observed the impact of mental health and trauma on families and our community as a whole.

Desirous of addressing the systemic needs of the community she shifted her desire from traditional psychotherapy to focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. During her career as a Marriage and Family Therapist she has worked with various populations including couples seeking premarital counseling and post marital counseling, medical patients experiencing chronic pain and Illness, families of adolescents in the juvenile justice system and individuals seeking personal growth and empowerment.

LaQuanda believes in developing unique therapeutic relationships that cater to the needs of the entire person instead of focusing on individual behaviors or symptoms. Finding someone who can help holistically navigate symptoms and behaviors and move through them with a clear, purposeful, culturally informed and compassionate lens, can be a life changing experience.

Continuing her desire to serve the systemic needs of the community LaQuanda is now providing virtual therapy sessions in both North and South Carolina!

Message to clients

Life can feel overwhelming when stress, anxiety, or depression take over. The pressures of work, relationships, and personal expectations can make it easy to lose sight of yourself. I understand how exhausting it can be to feel like you’re constantly falling short while your self-esteem takes a hit. Whether you’re struggling with worry, feeling disconnected, or facing relational conflicts, I’m here to help you rebuild your connection with yourself and others.
