Ms. LaVonne Renno is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who offers remote therapy sessions. She works with both individuals over 18 and couples. Many of Ms. Renno's clients come in to address anxiety, life transitions, dating, self worth, trauma. Ms. Renno is particularly passionate about serving educators, single adults and those facing life decisions. She has had training in the area of anxiety, stress, burnout.

Ms. Renno is trained in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), person-centered, solution focused, and mindfulness, in which with her clients is used to examine present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, in order to understand thinking patterns in order to shift them to healthier habits.. In session, Ms. Renno focuses on breathing exercises, grounding tools, creating growth mindsets that can be used in stressful situations or to combat negative thinking. This approach supports clients to feel more relaxed and present, find enjoyment and create healthier relationships.

Ms. Renno's style is warm, engaging, and non-judgemental. When clients first start therapy, she works on create a comfortable environment where clients feel safe and heard while building a strong relationships that help clients reach their goals.

Ms. Renno received her Master's in Educational and Clinical Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. She has worked at Lutheran Social Services, where she worked for 5 years working with children, teens and families that had been through trauma. Outside of private practice, she is involved within a school district supporting social emotional health. During her free time she enjoys exploring the world with her twins as they hike, snorkel and learn about diverse cultures. . Remote therapy sessions are available most afternoon and evenings

In spite of the days where you feel ok the overall feeling is that there are more bad, leaving you unsettled, struggling with anxiety/depression, a lower sense of self or exhausted from stress. I use holistic approach to nurturing & supporting our inner-being to help focus us in a world that has been ever changing, especially for those in education or first responder. Acknowledging the strain you are under & taking that first step shows strength/courage. Know you are not alone & it can get easier to handle.

I use a combination of ACT, person-centered, mindfulness holistic style to identify, develop & use your strengths to create a unique plan to meet to your goals. By providing a peaceful, nonjudgemental, confidential space together, we explore past/present/future to bring you a feeling of healing & peace that decreases daily stress & increases happiness.
