Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSWLaura Beaver is an LMSW in both Missouri and Texas under supervision for her LCSW. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of social work and also worked in higher education as a full-time professor for 8 years of that time.
Laura works with adolescents and adults who feel paralyzed by overwhelm in their life. Their underlying anxiety has been a driving force that has led to much success in school, career, and leadership; however, they are now unable to continue at the pace they once did, leaving them empty and lonely. They thought when they achieved their goals, things would come together. Yet here they are performing at a top level, but unable to shake the feeling of being on edge and unsafe in their life.
Laura can help as she wisely guides those she works with down the tenuous path of unpacking shame, anxiety, and helplessness. She builds trust with clients so that together they can untie the knots of past trauma to ultimately find peace and a successful path forward.
Laura sees client's in-person in Flower Mound, TX or online anywhere in Texas or Missouri.
