Laura Mueller-Anderson is a Clinical Social Worker Therapist in Bloomington, MN and in Texas specializing in helping people regain restful sleep, shift focus from pain and trauma, and manage their overabundance of stressful thoughts so that they can once again feel a sense of peace. Many of her clients struggle with overwhelming emotions that are impacting their lives and relationships due to a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, and life transitions. She works with these clients to develop an awareness and understanding of their emotional barriers and triggers, empowering them to grow towards wellness.
In session with Laura, clients learn more about their thoughts and behaviors as well as how their thoughts and behaviors impact their emotions. Using a mindfulness approach, she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to teach clients about harmful thought patterns and how to build better coping and communication skills to recognize and shift these patterns. She is a strengths-based therapist, which means that she believes wholeheartedly that each client has everything they need within and around them to heal. Together, Laura and her clients leverage these strengths to empower her clients to overcome life's obstacles and challenges in order to live a more fulfilling, enriched life.
Laura received her degree from Baylor University. She believes that every challenge is an opportunity to grow and connect with ourselves. Together she hopes to help her clients develop a new relationship with themselves, setting their best, most calm and confident inner-selves free.
