Message to clients

We all experience difficult seasons and find ourselves in need of support. You may be noticing that you haven't felt like yourself lately, or are experiencing feelings of anxiousness, sadness, low self-esteem, or uncertainty. You may be at a crossroads and trying to decide your next course of action. Or, you and your partner may find yourselves less connected than you would like to be. Seeking support is a courageous decision. If you are interested in working with me, please call or email today - I would be glad to speak with you so we can determine if I am the right person to help you, or you and your partner.

Couples counseling - I work with couples to address their relationship challenges through identifying negative cycles and impacting events in their relationship and working to promote healthy and secure attachment. This could include discussing family of origin relationships and events (childhood).

Anxiety - I provide support around coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress, including intense discomfort in social settings. This could include teaching anxiety reduction skills, examining family of origin patterns, and discussing feelings around issues that are causing anxiety.

Depression - I provide support around issues of depression, including feelings of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life. Please note that I do not provide crisis services.

Life transitions - I provide support around coping with difficult or new life changes, such as moving to a new area, relationship transitions, child rearing, or career changes; this could include learning self-care strategies to better manage stress, or discussing feelings around life transitions.

Adjustment difficulties & disorders - I provide support around adapting to new and/or challenging life circumstances; this could include skill-building for improved stress management and reduction of anxiety, as well as discussing feelings around life changes and difficult experiences.

Attachment issues - I work with adults on their attachment styles, including anxious attachment and avoidant attachment, and how they are influenced by childhood attachment patterns and/or their current relationships.
