Professional statement

Hi, my name is Laura Welch, she/her. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in mental health and substance abuse.

I practice evidence- based treatments while prioritizing your needs and values. I look to collaborate with my clients by creating treatment plans and interventions that are tailored to my clients and their lifestyle. It is important to me to provide a safe, non-judgemental, identity-affirming space for all my clients. I will push clients when necessary while also ensuring they have coping skills to use for moments of distress.

I love my job and you will see that when working with me. It's an honor and privilege to have people let me into their lives and create a space to use vulnerability as a strength. I never take advantage of that.

In my free time, I unwind by getting outside, listening books/ podcasts, cooking, and spending time with my family and dog daughter.
