Psychologist, PhDLauren Imperatore is a clinical psychologist in Boston, MA who specializes in helping people work through relationship issues, life changes, loss, and grief. She has a great deal of experience working with college students, emerging adults, and people who have complex medical issues and multiple disabilities. She also has expertise in working with challenges unique to new parents, including postpartum depression and anxiety.
Lauren has a warm, empathic style of relating that helps people feel at ease as soon as they walk in her door. She takes a theoretically integrative approach in her work: She has extensive knowledge of psychodynamic psychotherapy which she often uses as a foundation for collaborative conversations about current problems. And, she is practical and goal-oriented when she shares her thoughts and offers advice.
Lauren's hope is that her clients feel a positive life shift as a result of their work with her; Relief from distress, a sense of movement after feeling "stuck," and/or a renewed feeling of hope for a rich and meaningful future.
