Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW Practice: Resilience LabLauren is a New York University Silver School of Social Work graduate and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Lauren uses a trauma-informed approach and a lens of cultural humility. She believes her clients are the experts of their own experiences and remains nonjudgmental, curious, supportive, and empathetic when working together. Her clients leave sessions feeling safe and validated in their experiences and feelings – as well as carrying tangible tools/coping skills. She is always on her client’s team and firmly believes in authenticity and collaboration when working together. Lauren believes the therapeutic relationship should feel safe, supportive, and caring – a place where you feel seen and heard.
Lauren believes that part of empowering clients, is providing crucial information about how our bodies and brains work. A mental health education enthusiastic, Lauren believes her clients deserve to know what happens to their bodies during a panic attack and what tools may be helpful), for example — or, how trauma affects both the mind and body. As a result, Lauren offers the option of learning about mindfulness and the power of breath-work. Lauren also uses psychodynamic approaches, holding space for you to be heard and for clients to learn and reflect on their patterns of behavior.
Lauren also specializes in DBT and CBT modalities, where clients can learn how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with each other. Lauren has significant experience working with children, adolescents, and adults working through depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, self-esteem issues and feelings of worthlessness, interpersonal challenges, personality disorders, and body image challenges. Lauren also specializes in working with Latinx and multiracial populations.

Existential crisis & challenges - Supportive exploration of meaning and purpose in one’s life; finding one’s path in the face of existential anxiety, dread, and feelings of meaninglessness
Childhood trauma - Learning how traumatic events in childhood can translate into adulthood; processing through difficult memories with the goal of moving past the experience and lingering symptoms
Worthlessness - Developing an understanding of how the feeling of worthlessness impacts one’s daily life; exploring the origins of a sense of worthlessness and growing self-esteem to feel empowered and confident
