Lauren Lowenthal is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the greater Seattle area who specializes in working with adults in the following areas: mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, grief and loss, career challenges and workplace difficulties. Lauren also specializes in working with clients who are introverts and who want to understand themselves better and appreciate themselves more.
Prior to entering the counseling profession, Lauren spent over two decades working in corporate human resources and then in organizational transformation and leadership consulting. She is highly experienced in addressing workplace issues.
Lauren spends time getting to know her clients before developing an effective individualized treatment plan. She utilizes a number of different treatment modalities, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, schema therapy and supportive therapy. Lauren also uses assessments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator for self-discovery and career considerations.
When working with clients with a history of trauma, Lauren utilizes a combination of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help her clients change their thought patterns and reduce the memories' lasting effects. She also helps clients gain a better understanding of the mind-body connection to reduce both their mental and physical symptoms.
Lauren will both challenge and support you on your journey towards healing and actively pursuing the life you want. She looks forward to meeting you.
