Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCAt Brave Embers Wellness, we examine with curiosity and compassion the survival skills we engage in and use a gentle approach to create subtle shifts moving towards treatment goals. This helps us not feel overwhelmed and create a chance at lasting change while rewiring our brain towards an internal dialogue of self-compassion and grace. In session, Lauren focuses initially on grounding and resilience-building skills. These interventions include art, music or video clips depending on what resonates with client interests and needs. With the addition of somatic interventions, we support clients to believe that overtime they can connect with their bodies and feel more present in their day-to-day lives.
Lauren's style is Creative, Trauma-Informed, Compassionately Challenging. When clients first start therapy, she asks the client to share what they hope to find on the other side of the therapeutic process. That way as we walk through their healing journey, she can help remind them of the light waiting for them on the other side of the struggle.
Lauren works with clients in Peoria, AZ. Lauren’s clients come in to address complex trauma, disturbances in body image, struggles with self-identity, perfectionism, boundaries difficulties, anxiety and depression. Lauren is passionate about supporting clients with trauma histories and eating disorders. She also has advanced training in Complex PTSD, Eating Disorders, OCD. Lauren is trained in IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Experiential Therapy, EMDR, TCTSY.
