Professional statement

Lauren has been a a licensed clinical social worker for over twenty years. She enjoys helping others reach their potential, and I see therapy as a journey. Whether it be short-term or long-term, her ability to build rapport and trust enables clients to work on their issues openly in a collaborative manner. It is important to know that you are the author of your story and it is important to define your goals. Lauren's approach is to encourage self-discovery and to help provide other perspectives and coping strategies to enhance your life. It's about skill-building and managing new situations using new coping mechanisms, not old ones that do not work anymore.

Lauren utilizes CBT, DBT and draws from other social/emotional curriculums. She has also devoted her training to be a wonderful couples therapist. She has helped countless couples work on repairing their marriage and their families. She has also helped mediate parenting issues and agreements, working with couples to part ways in a healthy manner for themselves and their children.

She has a wealth of experience working with adolescents and their families. She was a school social worker for 10 years and is very experienced at counseling children, adolescents and their families. She is here to help those who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD and related issues.
