Professional statement

Lauren Simas is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Sacramento, CA. Lauren is passionate about providing families with the tools they need to feel connected to one another, to resolve any arising conflicts with each other, and to grow as a strong family unit. She provides services to individuals and families, including children and adolescents. She supports parents who feel stuck in their parenting or disconnected from their authentic selves.

Lauren draws from several evidence-based therapy modalities in her work with individuals and families. She uses family systems therapy to create a framework for families to better understand themselves and educates clients on different early attachment styles -- and their implications for relationships and parenting styles later in life. She provides a warm, accepting space for clients to explore their identities and make mental health goals. She helps clients feel more like themselves and find more meaning out of their daily routines. She coaches parents who would like to enhance their co-parenting skills and helps blended families adjust to their new family structure.

Lauren earned her Master’s degree from Palo Alto University. She has extensive experience working with families in diverse environments. She is passionate about working with women, especially those who have ADHD and need a space to talk about their experiences. Lauren is committed to providing culturally-competent care for families of all backgrounds.
